We are seeking a passionate and committed 5th Grade Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide a rigorous academic education while fostering spiritual growth and biblical character in students. This teacher will be responsible for creating a structured, engaging, and Christ-honoring classroom environment for students in fifth grade.
Responsibilities
Teach core subjects (e.g., Bible, Math, Language Arts, Science, History) from a biblical worldview.
Integrate Scripture and Christian principles into daily lessons and classroom discussions.
Create and maintain a structured, respectful, and disciplined learning environment that reflects biblical values.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student progress, behavior, and spiritual growth.
Incorporate prayer, Scripture memorization, and biblical instruction into the daily classroom routine.
Utilize effective classroom management strategies that align with biblical principles.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and tests.
Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the academic and spiritual development of students.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Serve as a Christian role model for students both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications
Personal Faith & Conduct: A born-again Christian with a strong and growing faith, committed to upholding biblical values in all aspects of life.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
Experience: Prior teaching experience preferred, particularly in a Christian school setting.
Biblical Worldview: A deep understanding of and ability to teach from a biblical worldview, aligning all instruction with Scripture.
Classroom Management: Ability to maintain a structured, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Commitment to School Values: Agreement with and adherence to the school’s statement of faith, mission, and philosophy of education.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Christian curricula such as Abeka, Bob Jones, or similar programs.
Familiarity with classical or traditional educational models.
Experience leading chapel, student devotionals, or extracurricular Christian activities.
