Accountant/Controller

Action Fire & Alarm is a fast-growing and well-established fire protection contractor looking for a full-time Accountant to join our team. Job Description: The successful candidate will provide professional and efficient support within our office and report directly to the President.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participation in leadership team, provide effective accounting support to management team/departments.
• Oversee and assist with accounting functions. Assure separation of duties, accuracy, and timely processing of transactions.
• Cash Management in coordination with the President.
• Human Resource functions.
• Prepare month end financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Preparation of monthly sales tax reporting.
• Management of inventory control.
• Job cost review.
• Budget preparation and management. Requirements:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral & written communication.
• Experience with percentage of completion accounting.
• Working knowledge of the software Quickbooks.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Accounting management experience 3+ years required.

A team-player with a positive attitude. This is a full time, in office position.
