Coldstream Logistics is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to oversee customer billing, freight documentation, cash application, and A/R issue resolution for our transportation and logistics business.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and the ability to work closely with customers, drivers, Operations, Brokerage, and Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Review loads for billing accuracy, including rates, mileage, accessorials, customer references, and required documentation.
Process and manage freight paperwork, including BOLs, PODs, lumper receipts, rate confirmations, and related documents.
Submit invoices through customer portals, EDI, email, or other required billing methods.
Monitor and resolve billing exceptions, missing paperwork, rate discrepancies, short pays, and customer disputes.
Apply customer payments accurately and assist with daily cash reconciliation.
Serve as a primary contact for customer billing questions and documentation requests.
Work with internal teams to correct billing issues and improve recurring processes.
Support month-end close by ensuring invoices are complete and payments are properly applied.
Help guide and cross-train A/R team members to maintain coverage and accuracy.
Qualifications
Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, cash application, or accounting support.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working with customers to resolve billing or payment questions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and billing/accounting systems.
Ability to manage a high volume of documents and transactions.
Preferred but not required:
Experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, brokerage, or supply chain.
Experience with transportation management systems, customer billing portals, EDI billing, or document imaging systems.
Prior supervisory or team lead experience.
