Responsibilities
Develop, align, and implement comprehensive commodity strategies to support business, operational, and customer objectives.
Negotiate, execute, and manage supplier commercial agreements that define the framework for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.
Engage in the Product Lifecycle (PLC) process to ensure supplier strategies align with product roadmaps and long-term business needs.
Lead new supplier introduction and supplier disengagement activities in alignment with commodity strategies and risk mitigation plans.
Drive resolution of systemic supply chain issues impacting quality, cost, delivery, or lead time, including collaboration with sub‑tier suppliers when required.
Identify, develop, and present high-level cost reduction and value creation opportunities across the supply base.
Manage supplier capacity planning and readiness to support current and future demand requirements.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
4-7 years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain roles within a complex manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in commercial agreement negotiation, cost management, and supplier relationship management.
Proven ability to develop and execute commodity or sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
