The Apprentice Electrician works under the direction of a Licensed Electrician to assist with electrical service, repairs, installations, troubleshooting, vehicle organization, safety practices, and customer satisfaction. This is a growth-focused role for someone who wants to learn the trade, develop strong habits, and build a long-term electrical career.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with diagnosing electrical system problems and failures.
Help repair outlets, GFI's, breakers, light switches, lighting installations, panels, grounding systems, and related components under supervision.
Assist with replacing wiring, smoke detectors, and other electrical items.
Request equipment and supplies to keep materials available.
Help locate and mark conduit or wire installation points, connections, passage holes, and fixture structures.
Keep the supervising electrician's vehicle clean and stocked.
Attend weekly department meetings and company training classes.
Maintain tools and machinery safely.
Observe customer communication and learn how to explain completed work.
Observe and assist with preparing customer pricing and work approvals under supervision.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
1+ year of electrical, trade, or hands-on technical experience preferred.
Ability to operate equipment, follow safety practices, assist with technical projects, read technical information, and solve practical problems.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work in field conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., and climb ladders up to 26 feet.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Employment is contingent upon completion of applicable pre-employment screening, consistent with local law.
