Aviation Line Service Supervisor To be responsible for airport services to include aircraft fuel, towing, deicing, customer service, aviation terminal building, and other duties normally associated with a Fixed Base Operator (FBO). Perform a variety of basic accounting and administrative duties while managing fuel and other retail sales accounts.
The employee will have the responsibility of:
Operation of a retail business, receiving and selling aviation fuels, oils, and miscellaneous aircrew supplies, and providing ground handling services such as de-ice training/pushback, ground power and lavatory services
Ensuring all required training of subordinate is accomplished required by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 139 Certification and other City or Department guidelines
Assisting the Assistant Director of Aviation as needed
Establishing a Best Management Practices plan to minimize the potential for hazardous materials pills and establishing procedures to deal with a spill
Receiving and processing payments for aviation services performed to include fuel &oil sales, tie-down rental fees, hanger rental
Performing quality control checks and inspections on fuel storage equipment and fuel deliveries, and retail delivery trucks
The work environment will require the employee to:
Occasionally work near aircraft with high noise levels and may be exposed to hazardous chemicals, aircraft fuel fumes, and moving mechanical parts

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; and
Two (2) years of customer service experience, of which at least six months of which must be in aviation fuel services; or
Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements:
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license by date-of-hire
Employee must pass an FBI fingerprint-based background check by date-of-hire.
Employee must pass a TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) by date-of-hire.
Employee may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have successfully completed an aviation fuel training course in fire safety which is acceptable to the FAA as meeting the requirements of 14 CFR Part 139.321(e)(1) or must successfully complete such a course within ninety (90) days of employment.
