Full Job Description

Job Purpose

Full time Bilingual, English/Spanish, certified medical assistant for busy OB/GYN office

Duties

  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
  • Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary. Phlebotomy experience needed.
  • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
  • Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Serves and protects the medical practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Applicant must be able to draw blood and prepare specimens for lab.
*E Clinical Works EMR experience a must!!
  • Prepare exam rooms for in office procedures (colposcopies, cystoscopy, biopsy etc)
  • Seeking someone with telephone experience to interact with patients and discuss results and call in prescriptions.

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

  • License
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred)

  • CPR (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
