The Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to effectively communicate information to Chamber members and advance the Chamber’s benefits to prospective members and the broader community. This position reports directly to the Chamber President.

Responsibilities

Work independently and as a team with close ties to the Marketing & Events Coordinator in the following areas:

Communications

· Prepare and distribute bi-weekly newsletter

· Write, edit, and proofread communications

· Upload and manage website content using the Chamber’s content management system

· Design graphic content and publications for web, social media, and print

· Lead Chamber social media efforts, including maintaining a consistent posting schedule (5+ posts per week) and scheduling content at least two weeks in advance

· Assist with Facebook/Meta advertising campaigns, including ongoing promotion working with the Chamber advertising partner

· Maintain the Chamber’s Google Business profile and overall digital presence

· Monitor and engage with Chamber members across defined social media platforms

· Identify and highlight member milestones, recognitions, and accomplishments through social media, blog posts, and newsletters

Media Content

· Photograph Chamber events and maintain an organized image archive

· Assist with basic video content creation as needed

Membership Engagement Support

· Coordinate monthly member anniversary visits, including tracking milestone members, mailing 5-year pins, and coordinating 10+ year visits with the Chamber president

· Coordinate biennial member appreciation visits, including ordering gifts, preparing distribution lists and materials, and coordinating volunteers

· Prepare new member certificates (monthly)

· Compile Weber County business license lists and distribute a Chamber new business mailer quarterly

Event & Program Support

· Assist with Chamber event setup and attend events as required

· Provide on-site event support, including check-in, photography, and general event assistance

· Coordinate quarterly Membership 360 events, including invitations, room setup, catering coordination, guest welcome, and cleanup

Administrative

· Serve as a liaison to assigned committees

· Support general office and administrative functions

· Staff the Chamber welcome desk while in the office

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position (25-29 hours per week), typically Monday – Friday. While some flexibility in scheduling is available, regular in-office presence during the week is required. Attendance at Monday morning staff meetings, assigned committee meetings, and key Chamber events is expected.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
