Water Works Laundromat is a community staple in Newark, NJ. We are currently looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our team. If you enjoy hitting the road, staying active, and providing top-notch customer service, we want to hear from you!

What You Will Do

As our Delivery Driver, you are the face of Water Works Laundromat in the community. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Safe Driving: Confidently and safely operating a large van around the Newark area.
• Client Deliveries: Providing timely local pickup and drop-off of laundry for our clients.
• Client Services: Provide local client pickup and drop-off.
• Heavy Lifting: Loading, unloading, and sorting laundry bags.
• Customer Service: Interacting professionally and positively with clients and fellow team members.
• Route Management: Completing order logs accurately and keeping everything organized.
• Van Location: Pick up and return the van 20 minutes from the store after each trip.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Upkeep: Maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the delivery van/truck.
• Inspections: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Reporting: Promptly notify management when routine service is needed or if any mechanical issues, dashboard alerts, or damages arise.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver.
• Clean Record: A valid driver’s license completely clear of any accidents or citations.
• Physical Strength: The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of laundry up and down stairs safely.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Must speak English clearly. Bilingual candidates are highly preferred!
• Reliability: Excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a track record of showing up on time for shifts.

Your Schedule

• Primary Hours: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
• Flexibility Needed: While this is primarily a day shift, we require our drivers to have the flexibility to accommodate early morning and evening hours when business needs require it.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $16.00 per hour
