Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Long Term Contract

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate, monitor, and resolve all desktop support activities, including installations, upgrades, hardware, software, OS configuration, and troubleshooting.

· Perform onsite analysis, migration, maintenance, and repair of desktops, laptops, servers, and network hardware (routers, switches), ensuring smooth transitions.

· Maintain Windows 10/11 OS, along with network devices, printers, and related peripherals.

· Support network hardware deployments, upgrades, and migrations.

· Build, configure, and support desktops, laptops, and network equipment per customer specifications.

· Ensure secure and efficient data transfer during migrations or upgrades.

· Assist with ServiceNow requests and incident tickets, and document processes.

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues onsite.

· Support remote troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, including Citrix environments.

· Assist with asset recovery, decommissioning, and inventory management following standard procedures.

· Support extended hours, outages, and emergency responses with attention to safety and compliance.

· Maintain knowledge of Cisco VoIP, UPS configurations, and integration with network systems.

· Provide high-quality customer service and effective communication with clients and team members.

Required Skills:

· 5+ years of experience as an IT Field Services Technician.

· Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining IT and network hardware, including routers, switches, servers, and workstations.

· Familiar with Windows 10/11, LAN/WAN, network troubleshooting, and Citrix environments.

· Experience with network deployments, upgrades, migrations, and asset management.

· Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., assist with hardware installation and movement.

· Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

· Willingness to travel within Louisiana as needed.

· Ability to complete assessments and support extended hours and emergencies.

· A+ Certification recommended.
