The Director of ODP shall be a part time salaried employee of ENYYSA reporting to the Operations Director and Board of Directors, whose primary job function is to direct and control all aspects of ENYYSA’s ODP, implementing ENYYSA Board’s policy directives of and is ultimately responsible for meeting the player development objectives of ODP.

The Director’s duties shall include the outlined listed below, along with other tasks that may be assigned by the ENYYSA Board:

· Coordinate and implement all aspects of the ODP program with office staff,

administrators and the ENYYSA Board.

· Utilize the ODP System to manage coaches, players, parents and team administrators.

· Control and oversee the ODP budget to ensure cost effective measures are consistently being employed; included but not limited to player receivables, account payables (GotSport registration system)

· Recruit, direct, motivate and supervise all necessary ODP coaching staff and other adjunct staff under the Board guidelines.

· Organize all hired staff paperwork (such as contract, W-9’s, bios with photos, conflict of interest, etc....) prior to the start of the ODP tryouts, as well as ensuring all staff registers in the ODP System.

· Maintain an accurate list of coaching staff and administrators that adhere to all risk management criteria.

· Plan, develop and coordinate all ODP events, such as tryouts, training sessions, tournaments and trips.

· Develop and implement a fair and non-biased process and criteria for ODP tryout and tournament team evaluations and selections.

· Ensure an age appropriate ODP training curriculum is employed that mirrors US Youth Soccer’s philosophy on player development, throughout the ODP cycle.

· Prepare and request player uniforms and equipment need to the administrators to process.

· Attend Regional / National ODP meetings as determined by US Youth Soccer.

· Aid in promoting and marketing of the ODP programs with prepared periodic reports of accomplishments and activities to be presented in press releases, in coordination with the Director of Public Relations.

· Ensure that all personnel wear the apparel of the current sponsor, when representing ODP/ENYYSA.

Requirements of Candidate

  • US Youth soccer coaching C license or equivalent is required
  • Experience and history with the program
  • Demonstrate the ability to instruct and administer an elite soccer program.
  • Communicate clearly and passionately about the ODP program to players, parents, leagues and clubs, motivating players, coaches, parents and volunteers to support the ODP program.
  • Demonstrate high moral character and values.
  • Complete ENYYSA Risk Management and maintain an “eligible status”.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, GotSport, GotSport App, and Capelli system.
Prohibitions and Required Conduct
  • The ODP Director, either for hire or voluntarily, shall not serve or become engaged by any competitor’s soccer team, club, association or league, except in those matters specifically approved by the ENYYSA Board of Directors.
  • The Director of ODP shall conduct him/herself in a responsible, moral and professional manner at all times.
  • The ODP Director must receive prior, written approval from the ENYYSA Board of Director liaison to enter any soccer related venture for profit.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $46,800.00 per year
