Dispensary ARMED Security Guard (Part-Time and On-call)

Bri-Bet Security Solutions, one of the Mid Atlantic Region's premier professional providers of full-service security and risk mitigation services, is seeking experienced officers to provide PART-TIME and ON-CALL security services for its expanding cannabis security solutions.

Bri-Bet is searching for personnel who possess specific skill sets to conduct duties to include but not limited to:

• Maintaining a high level of observation
• Conducting physical and electronic surveillance
• Conducting interior and exterior roving and foot patrols
• Detect signs of intrusion and criminal activity
• Responding to alarms
• Investigating disturbances (to including loitering)
• Monitoring employee, customer and visitor ingress and egress
• Writing and submitting handwritten and/or electronic reports
• Deterring theft
• Deploying NIMS and ICS principals during emergency situations
• Notifying emergency services (Fire, Police, EMS) in cases of emergencies
• Answering questions by phone and in person
• Operating detection equipment/devices to screen individuals entering the property
• Inspecting employee, customer and visitor belongings as necessary
• Preventing non-approved and prohibited articles from entering restricted areas
• Detaining and/or remove violators from premises
• Inspecting security systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Providing escort of product, money and/or valuables to prevent theft
• Having a pleasant manner
• Performing other security-related duties as assigned

Qualifications: Bri-Bet focuses on providing the highest quality and professional security services to the medical cannabis industry and is looking for armed security officers who are:

• Former or retired law enforcement officers with at least two years of law enforcement service who possess an ACTIVE Maryland Security Guard Certification, Maryland Handgun Permit or LEOSA card and driver's license or
• Current, former, or retired military personnel with at least three years of service who possess an ACTIVE Maryland Security Guard Certification, Maryland Handgun Permit, driver's license and can provide a DD-214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, or
• Current armed security guards with at least three years of armed security experience and possess an ACTIVE Maryland Security Guard Certification, Maryland Handgun Permit, and driver's license.

Other Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
• Must not use illegal drugs and must be willing to submit to unscheduled Drug Testing
• Must possess clean background to include a criminal and financial background
• Must actively respond to phone calls, emails, and texts
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be punctual
• Must have excellent inter-personal communications skills
• Must have strong report writing skills
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time while possibly being exposed to extreme weather, noise, and other workplace environments

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Experience

• Armed Security: 3 years (Preferred)
• Law Enforcement: 2 years (Preferred)
• Military: 2 years (Preferred)
