Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily playgroups and activities to promote socialization, exercise, and mental stimulation for dogs.
  • Implement basic dog training techniques to encourage good behavior and reinforce commands.
  • Handle dogs safely using proper restraint methods during playtime, grooming, feeding, or veterinary procedures.
  • Monitor dogs closely for signs of stress or discomfort and respond promptly to ensure their safety.
  • Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, or nail trimming to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their dog’s behavior and needs.
  • Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sanitized environment in all dog care areas.
  • Assist veterinary technicians or veterinary assistants with animal care tasks when needed, including administering medication or assisting during examinations.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, kennel work, or animal care is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of dog training techniques.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting dogs or supplies).
  • Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet grooming procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic attitude toward animals and clients.
  • Strong sense of responsibility with attention to safety protocols at all times.
  • Monday through Thursday hours only, meaning you get a long weekend off!!
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
