Elementary Paraprofessional/Computer Lab

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor children in the classroom, lunch room, bathroom area, hallways, and during recess time
• Assist a certified teacher with teaching as directed
• Prepare curriculum materials and activities for instruction
• Implementing small group instruction, including proper usage of programs
• Help with maintaining a safe/clean classroom
• Provide students with content area intervention either one on one or in small group settings as directed by principal.
• Oversee the operation of the computer lab not limited to repairs, program installation, and daily maintenance.
• Assist with other classes as directed by supervisor and/or principal

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Clean background check
• Pass Paraprofessional Assessment at hire or have 60 college hours
• Participate in required Paraprofessional module trainings provided by ADE

• Be able to stand a minimum of 80% of your scheduled shift
• Be able to walk short distances to escort children between classrooms and activities
• Be able to lean, reach, bend, lift and squat to help children and co-workers
• Be able to walk on uneven surfaced (playground)
• Be able to walk up and down stairs
• Be outside in all weather conditions for assigned duty. This includes recess, before school drop offs and after school pick- ups.

Reports to: Assistant Principal/Principal

Contract: 179 days

Opening is for the 2026-2027 school year.
