Apply<br><br><strong>Description<br><br></strong>Reports to – Logistics Manager<br><br>Job Summary: This position is responsible for all activities relating to distribution operations executing all receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing of construction supply material, and dispatching of delivery trucks for delivery of construction supply material.<br><br><strong>Job Duties<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensure orders and inter-branch transfers are picked, checked and packed and loaded per company guidelines and procedures</li><li>Ensure accuracy/integrity of orders (correct material/quantity and acceptable quality/delivery)</li><li>Work with Inbound/Inventory Manager to control inventory and work with staff to minimize misplaced material and errors</li><li>Ensure all parcel package shipments are processed for customer delivery</li><li>Provide motivating work environment for staff with high levels of performance and standards being the norm</li><li>Communicate policies to ensure compliance and consistently administer corrective action as necessary</li><li>Foster communication and teamwork among staff to ensure accomplishment of operational goals.</li><li>Accepts responsibility for company projects that may be indirectly related to his/her area of responsibility</li><li>Works with distribution center team members to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and processing areas</li><li>Ensure that safe work practices are followed, maintaining an overall safe work environment</li><li>Completion of all assigned NEFCO trainings</li><li>Monitor and enforce all NEFCO training initiatives for associates under your supervision.</li><li>Assist in implementation of new training and enhance existing training processes for associates under your supervision.</li><li>Review direct reports’ timecards, ensuring employees’ time is accurately recorded and complete.</li><li>Approve employee timecards at the end of each period, prior to supervisor deadline.</li><li>Work with employees to resolve errors (missing punches, adjustments, etc.).</li><li>Review and approve PTO requests</li><li>Monday – Friday </li><li>50-55 hours workweek<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong>Qualifications:<br><br><ul><li>Must have a track record of being a results-oriented person who has worked in industrial warehousing/distribution operations for 2+ years</li><li>Must be effective communicator up, down and across the organization</li><li>High school diploma (or equivalent); college degree preferred</li><li>Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system</li><li>Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes</li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plus</li><li>Basic computer skills</li><li>Must have a positive, hard-working attitude</li><li>Ability to establish priorities, work independently and little supervision</li><li>Ability to multitask</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Ability to stands on concrete floor for long periods of time</li><li>Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of time</li><li>Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting</li><li>Ability to safely lift as much as 50+ lbs.</li><li>Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents</li><li>Analytical ability including basic math skills</li><li>Ability to operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) and be recertified</li><li>Must be detail-oriented and hands on ‘roll up the sleeves’ type with aptitude for multi-tasking and adapting to a fast-paced environment with ever changing priorities</li><li>Must have effective interpersonal skills with ability to direct, coach, support, and delegate to associates</li></ul>
