This role will focus on designing and modernizing scalable, secure, and API-driven data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), supporting enterprise analytics, integration, and AI use cases.
As a GCP API Solution Architect, you will: Lead end-to-end solution and API architecture for cloud data platforms on Google Cloud PlatformDefine and govern reference architectures, API patterns, and best practices for data ingestion, processing, storage, and analyticsArchitect and guide implementation of batch and streaming pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and ComposerDesign API-led integration architectures using Apigee and cloud-native servicesEnable modern data lakehouse and data warehouse architectures aligned with analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use casesEnsure alignment with data governance, quality, lineage, security, and compliance standardsDesign infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as TerraformCollaborate with platform teams on CI/CD, DataOps, monitoring, and operational excellenceApply GCP security best practices including IAM, networking, encryption, and compliancePartner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutionsAct as a trusted advisor for cloud data modernization and GCP best practicesSupport solution design activities including architecture reviews, estimates, and technical proposals 10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in cloud data architectureProven experience designing and delivering GCP-based data and API platformsStrong background in large-scale enterprise data programsDeep expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including:BigQuery, Cloud StorageDataflow (Apache Beam), Pub/SubDataproc (Spark), Composer (Airflow)Strong experience with API architecture and management, including ApigeeSolid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, streaming architectures, and SQLExperience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and DataOps practicesExposure to AI/ML enablement on GCP (Vertex AI is a plus)Google Professional Data Engineer - PreferredGoogle Professional Cloud Architect - PreferredStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience working with global and distributed teamsPassion for innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $88,544 to $207,401 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
