Overview: Paramount’s Global Security Operations Center was established in 2015 and is located on the Paramount Studio lot in Hollywood, California. The GSOC is a state-of-the-art facility that coordinates response to a variety of security and emergency situations that affect employees, productions, and guests worldwide.

The decision to establish the GSOC was based on the need to enhance and coordinate security and emergency measures due to the changing global climate and the need to better ensure the safety and well-being of Paramount stakeholders. The GSOC is manned by two Global Security Operations Center Operators and supported by one GSOC Analyst 24/7/365.

This position is responsible for assisting the GSOC Senior Analyst with the administration of 10 (plus) security systems in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC); collecting, analyzing and preparing intelligence briefings; monitoring Paramount operations for threats and operational risks that could impact operations and responding to those threats using various security systems and work flows; and acting as the subject matter expert to GSOC staff (security Dispatchers) during emergency situations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in the development of incident response workflows and business rules contained in Paramount’s Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) solution.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert in the GSOC during emergency situations to ensure the GSOC supports the incident in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Assists with maintaining operational risk monitoring tools to track threats and operational risks to Paramount operations, in support of Business Resiliency efforts.
  • Responds to various global incident alerts/threats, quickly assesses conditions and situations based on system information; makes notification decisions based on Paramount incident response workflows, activates and coordinates emergency response procedures, and maintains situational information and status of incident response actions.
  • Supports GSOC operators (dispatchers) in performing their routine dispatching functions, as needed.
  • Collects analysis and prepares various intelligence briefings, including but not limited to daily briefs, travel briefs, white papers on emerging threats, etc.
Basic qualifications:- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Political Science, Emergency Management, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with security systems is required.
  • Experience writing technical business policies, procedures, and reports is required.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, as needed.

  • Required Skills
  • One year of full-time, paid experience in a customer service call center or security operations center.
  • Experience utilizing technology-based security systems is a plus.

  • Remain calm during high-pressure emergency situations.
  • Speak clearly while utilizing telephone, radio, and computer-assisted dispatch systems.
  • Use a personal computer, including Microsoft Office products and other related software.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and activity logs.
  • Understand and follow oral instructions and written policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Type 40 WPM.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Broad knowledge of Security Operation Center policies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and quickly react to emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Must have exemplary proofreading and editing skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other related applications.
  • Must have high-level organizational and planning skills so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately; must be able to set priorities, take initiative, and exercise sound independent judgment.
  • Must be comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Must be capable of working independently without extensive direction or oversight.
  • Must be a creative, strategic thinker dedicated to quality service.
