Position Overview
Worthington Jewelers is seeking an experienced Goldsmith / Bench Jeweler to join our growing team. This role is responsible for a wide range of jewelry repair and bench work within a high-volume retail environment with strong customer traffic and established client relationships.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled, dependable, and detail oriented, with the ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship, accuracy, and customer experience are essential. Key Responsibilities
Execute high quality jewelry repairs including ring sizing, soldering, chain repair, polishing, and general bench work
Set a wide range of gemstones, including standard, fancy shapes, and colored stones Perform fabrication and repair work with precision, consistency, and efficiency
Operate laser welding equipment as needed
Support custom work as experience allows, including occasional customer interaction when appropriate
Maintain exceptional craftsmanship aligned with shop standards and customer expectations
Deliver accurate, efficient work in a fast paced, high volume retail environment
Maintain a professional, dependable, and collaborative team-first mindset.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a bench jeweler or goldsmith
Strong technical foundation in jewelry repair, stone setting, and general bench work
Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast paced, high volume retail environment
Strong work ethic with a high standard of integrity and professionalism
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Willingness to complete a bench test as part of the interview process
Nice to Haves
Experience with custom jewelry work
GIA or AGS credentials
Appraisal experience
Customer interaction or retail jewelry experience
Compensation and Benefits
$24 to $35 per hour based on experience and skill set
