Junior Leasing Specialist at 350-unit apartment community. This position is 36 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday (Hours: 8:30-5:00pm Tuesday-Friday; 9:00am-3:00pm Saturday). Off on Sunday and Monday.
You will assist the Community Manager and Sr Leasing Specialist in leasing vacant apartments and ensuring current residents are provided with excellent customer service. The environment you will be working in will be relaxed but demanding.
The position includes an hourly rate plus regular leasing bonuses tied to move-ins and occupancy. The hourly rate listed above includes average bonuses.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, enjoys being out on property (approximately 75% of the job is touring prospective residents around the property to see vacant units, checking on the readiness of vacant units, helping to post notices, etc.), enjoys managing a variety of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and has strong customer service skills and proficiency with MS Office and AppFolio (preferred). This position requires initiative, strong customer service, excellent communication and the ability to work as a team player. A combination of sales, customer service and marketing skills is required to build relationships with perspective and existing residents.

Job Responsibilities
Schedule showings and follow-up accordingly
Tour prospective residents across the property and walk them through available units
Answer phone calls and emails from prospective and existing residents in an efficient and timely manner
Respond to all guest cards in a timely and thorough manner, in line with company policies
View lease ready units to ensure they are up to company standards (including minor cleaning as needed between showings)
Foster and build relationships with prospective and existing residents, treating everyone with courtesy and respect
Ensure excellent resident service and communication
Provide support with processing rental applications, such as following up on verifications and documentation, when needed.
Support Community Manager with general property tasks such as posting notices and enforcing community policies, conducting move ins/move outs, assisting with resident concerns.
Scan and file documents
Assist with our Resident Appreciation events (help prepare, advertise, and assist with set up/ clean up on the day of the event)
Assist and support our team with other projects as needed
Requirements:
1+ years experience in customer service or sales industry
Ability to work in dynamic, complex, fast-paced customer service-driven work environment
Ability to tour prospects around the property throughout the year, including during cold and hot months
Demonstrated ability to be on time and at work consistently. Arriving on time is crucial to being ready for prospect tours and ensuring the tasks for the day can be fulfilled.
Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office and Excel
Be dedicated, a self-starter, fast-learner, detail-oriented, with a positive attitude
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
