ACFCU is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Loan Officer for our Ross location to help us fulfill our vision toBe The Financial Solution, joining a dynamic team that lives out the credit‑union spirit of people helping people through our commitment to Better Banking, where you’ll empower members with smart lending options, assist them with a wide variety of financial services, advise them on how to best utilize our products to reach their personal financial goals, deliver the highest level of member service, and support the credit union’s lending, new accounts, and certificate functions while making a meaningful impact in the community every day.

Responsibilities

  • Interview loan applicants, obtaining information needed to support the closing of loans,
  • including debt ratio calculation, income verification, collateral values, member
  • identification, and member credit reports. Advise members of loan approval or denial.
  • Perform all duties necessary to assist in closing and disbursing loans.
  • Submit applications to the approving Loan Officer.
  • Send completed applications to the loan processor.
  • Open various new accounts, process necessary information, and educate the members
  • about services/products available. (debit card, online banking, mobile banking, etc.).
  • Assist members with opening CDs and educate members as to penalties, earnings, etc.
  • Explain and expedite IRA certificates' opening, closing, transfer, and rollover.
  • Assist with a wide variety of member services, including opening/closing Shared
  • Certificates, maintaining and assisting members with checkbooks, process credit
  • card/loan applications for members, managing outgoing wires, solving fraud issues,
  • notary, closing accounts, etc.
  • Assist with a wide variety of member services, including debit cards, order checks, wires,
  • notary, set-up transfers, online banking, etc.
  • Cross-sell credit union products and services along with loan products/services.
  • Maintains member’s information confidential.
  • Must follow all ACFCU’s policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of all state and federal
  • regulations that apply.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
