Northern Illinois Medical Associates is looking for a Medical Receptionist for our busy office. Must have exceptional customer service skills and be able to multi-task and pay attention to detail. At least 1 year of medical office experience is preferred. Primary Location is in Elgin.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following:
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person.
Experience in administrative skills such as insurance verification, referrals, etc.
Always positively affects the patients and visitors perception of the visit experience.
Manages multiple phone lines, takes accurate and detailed messages for all calls including telephone encounters, directs calls to appropriate support staff.
Processes patient payments and post to patient's account.
Opens or closes office and activates security system at the end of the day and must be available on 2 saturday a month.
Reviews next day's schedules and as directed, prepares forms needed in advance of visits.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and other company personnel. May assist other staff members with their duties as workload dictates.
Maintains regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
Education/Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent. Additional education preferred.
Minimum 1 year clerical experience in a medical office preferred.
Personal computer and word processor skills. Experience with modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment.
Knowledge of ECW is plus along with other EMR systems
Language Skills:
Able to communicate both verbal and written in English.
Proficiency in additional languages a plus.
Skills:
Provide superb customer service at all times.
Respond to requests and inquiries from the general public in person and over the telephone.
Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential patient issues and situations.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Work well under pressure in a busy office environment.
Learn computer software programs; enter and maintain accurate data
Compensation commensurate with experience.
