Job Overview

Bechakas & Bechakas, LLP is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Legal Assistant to join our real estate law practice. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys a collaborative environment, who can manage multiple responsibilities, and appreciates the opportunity to support both paralegals and attorneys in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist paralegals and attorneys with daily administrative and legal support tasks
  • Open and close client files with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Order tax receipts, certificates, inspections and organize case files to facilitate document management workflows
  • Provide reception support, including greeting clients and managing deliveries
  • Maintain orderly records and contribute to ensure smooth office operations
  • Maintain organized case files and facilitate document management workflows
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scanning and copying
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior paralegal or legal administrative real estate experience preferred
  • Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with case management software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Effective communication skills with professional, warm communication style - in person and over the phone
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly
  • Prior experience in clerical or administrative roles within a law office is highly desirable
  • Ability to transition to full-time hours if needed
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
