Package Delivery Driver (Independent Contractor, Part Time)

I run a small Amazon delivery operation here in Waseca. I need a reliable contractor driver to help with regular deliveries on an ongoing basis.

What the work looks like:

  • 3 to 4 days a week, including some weekends
  • Typical volume is 40 to 60 packages per day
  • Packages typically arrive at the station between 9:30am and 11:30am. You can start anytime after they arrive but no later than 2pm. Take as long as you need. Take a break, run to an appointment, as long as timed deliveries and businesses get done first. You have until 9pm to finish the rest.
  • Most people keep a pace of 20-25+ packages per hour
  • Packages up to 50 lbs
What you'll make: Flat rate per package. If you can keep up a decent pace you're typically looking at $25 to $35+ per hour. Work faster, make more.

What you absolutely need:

  • 4WD or AWD SUV (preferred and easier) or truck with tonneau cover. You cannot use an open truck bed for packages.
  • Your own reliable phone
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Live in Waseca or very close by (strong preference for people actually in town)
  • Clean driving record, criminal background check, and valid drivers license
What I'm looking for: Someone dependable. This is a small team and I have high expectations for contractors. If you're going to call off or not show up when scheduled, this won't work. We deliver no matter the weather. I won't make you do anything dangerous but you need to be the type who commits and follows through. If you're reliable, have the right vehicle, and want flexible part time work with decent pay, this could be a good fit.

This is part time only, not full time. Independent contractor, 1099.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
