Part-time Custodian

Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Custodian role based at Hotel Indigo Spokane Downtown in Spokane, WA. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly public areas, back-of-house spaces, restrooms, hallways, and entrances throughout the property.

Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and cleaning glass, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces. The role also involves restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and following safety and sanitation procedures. The Custodian works closely with the operations and housekeeping teams to support a welcoming environment for guests and a safe workplace for colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom sanitation.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules, checklists, and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry supplies or equipment as needed throughout a shift.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused attitude when interacting with guests and team members.
• Previous custodial, housekeeping, or janitorial experience in hospitality or a similar setting preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
