The role of the Parts Order Clerk will be responsible for efficiently receiving, maintaining, distributing, and tracking inventory. Additionally, the ideal Parts Order Clerk will put away parts stock, work reports, communicate with vendors, and answer phones. As a Parts Order Clerk, you will also be responsible for pulling parts for Customers, Furniture Repair Technicians, Service Technicians, Department Managers, and any other authorized AFW employee that requests merchandise.
Duties/Responsibilities
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and the ability to promote awareness. Mix of office and warehouse work. Professional and hospitality-based along with the willingness to help others.
Update and maintain work reports. Address and respond to vendors and answer phone calls. Willingness to learn furniture and the parts associated with them. Ability to multitask, be organized, and meet deadlines.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors and follow written and verbal instructions. Efficiently work as a team member and independent of direct supervision. Able to have a flexible schedule and work all scheduled shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Complete daily tasks as assigned by management. Abide by all company policies and procedures. All other duties assigned by the Parts Manager as directed. work, meet deadlines and coordinate time sensitive activities across personnel in multiple departments. Planning/Organizing – Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently. Safety and Security – Observes and leads safety and security procedures and initiatives. Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time.
Computer Skills
Ability to navigate computer systems, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to regularly use computers for ordering, communication, documentation, scheduling, maintenance of organizational content on shared drives.
Education and Experience
High School/GED
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas. Requires manual dexterity, the ability to sit for long periods, grip, bend,
stoop, twist, walk, reach, use a box knife, and use ladder/step stool for a minimum of 8 hours daily. Requires continual use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back. Requires the ability to lift, lower, push and pull, and operate a hand truck with all sizes of boxes and merchandise up to 100 lbs with assistance. Requires the ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs of force to maneuver merchandize for parts verification, with assistance.

Compensation Package
CO Pay Rate: Hourly range starting from $21/hr.
Supervision Given and Received
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position is supervised directly by the Parts Director and Assistant Parts Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities
Basic computer knowledge, typing 20+ words per minute, and 10 key required. Preferred expertise in Microsoft Excel, Storis, Sales Force, dispatch track,
and FedEx but not required. Superb interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (phone, email, text message, etc.). Willingness to assist other departments and work as a team.
Have strong independent follow up skills. Excellent organizational skill and the ability to demonstrate attention to detail, and accuracy. Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on AFW’s success. Strategic planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Ability to operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
