PC Support Technician

Job Brief

Performs helpdesk support in the information technology department related to personal computers, peripheral equipment, and user hardware/software needs as well as network and telecommunications operations and procedures.

Essential Duties

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, and computer network systems.
  • Assemble, install, configure, and test computer equipment.
  • Install equipment, connect, and move devices.
  • Use electronic test equipment, to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Use computer-aided diagnostics to locate malfunctions.
  • Maintain software and hardware inventory and tracking systems; develop inventory lists and order, stock, and store computer accessories that are often replaced.
  • Provide support to users relating to both hardware and software problems on their personal computers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for computer, data communications, and/or peripheral equipment; test and adjust to appropriate standards.
  • Create and maintain Active Directory user accounts.
  • Create and maintain Exchange email accounts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems or related field required.
  • Minimum one to three years of experience providing PC helpdesk support;

    experience with Windows Server 2022/2025, Windows 11 operating systems, Linux, internet browsers, system integration of voice and data, phone systems, and wireless technology preferred.

Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified Fundamentals
  • A+ certification

  • Manager, Information Technology

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
