Job Summary

We’re looking for someone who loves pottery and enjoys working with people. Teaching experience is a plus, whether you’re an experienced instructor or a skilled hobbyist who has taught before.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, friendly, and able to work independently in a busy but welcoming studio. We value a warm, community-focused attitude and someone who makes others feel comfortable and at home.

Duties

  • Teach 4-week beginner and mixed-level pottery classes for kids and adults, plus one-time intro classes (up to 10 students per class)
  • Load and unload kilns
  • Mix glazes and help manage student glazing and kiln firings
  • Work closely with managers and instructors to keep the studio organized and running smoothly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio space
  • Support “Creative Time” potters during “Tech on Site” shifts by answering questions about glazing and pottery techniques
  • Provide friendly customer service and answer questions about student work and pickup times
  • Create short studio clips and social media content while wheel throwing and hand building
Pay: From $20.50 per hour
