Boeing Defense, Space & Security's X-37B program at the Kennedy Space Center is seeking a Quality Production Specialist to support inspection of X-37B hardware, documentation of non-conformances, area audits/surveillances, and receiving inspection. This position is located in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

This quality production specialist role will be part of a larger team of Quality Specialist and Quality Engineers who serve as the primary point of contact for operations to provide review, acceptance, and ensure product and area integrity.

Position Responsibilities

Level 2:

Assists with oversight/inspection of operations to verify and ensure product integrit
  • y Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirement- s Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processe- s Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plan- s Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and system- s

    Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processe- s Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive actio- n Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for revie- w

    Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolutio- n Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminate- d Verifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedure- s

    Creates airplane specific airborne software package- s Perform audits and surveillances of areas to ensure proper compliance to requirement- s Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distributio- n

Level 3 Provides oversight/inspection of operations to verify and ensure product integrit
  • y Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirement- s Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulation- s Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and system- s Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management Syste- m

    Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrenc- e Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolutio- n Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processe- s

    Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolutio- n Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completio- n Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processe- s

    Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software product- s Develops software system processes to support changing industry standard- s Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirement- s

    Perform audits and surveillances of areas to ensure proper compliance to requirement- s Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementatio- n Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distributio- n
