The Carlisle Group (TCG) is a growing Workers’ Compensation Wholesale Brokerage platform supporting independent retail agents and agencies across the Western U.S. They are seeking a Vice President – Workers’ Compensation Wholesale Broker who understands how to navigate complex risks, build lasting agency relationships, and drive production within a high-performing wholesale brokerage environment. Responsibilities • Work directly with retail agency partners, delivering more than just access to markets • Bring insight, urgency, and execution—evaluating submissions, structuring deals, negotiating terms, and placing business with the right insurance carriers and surplus lines markets • Grow your own book of business, deepen relationships within the retail insurance community, and expand your presence in the wholesale insurance marketplace • Leverage and accelerate an existing network of agency relationships • Communicate well, think independently, and take ownership of your results Skills • Understanding of complex risks in Workers' Compensation • Ability to build lasting agency relationships • Experience driving production within a high-performing wholesale brokerage environment • Ability to review submissions and assess Workers' Compensation exposures • Knowledge of how and where to place risk for the best outcome • Experience working directly with retail agency partners • Ability to evaluate submissions, structure deals, negotiate terms, and place business with insurance carriers and surplus lines markets • Foundation in Workers' Compensation, Wholesale brokerage, or Commercial insurance • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or Surplus Lines license • Background that blends underwriting acumen with production instincts • Strong communication skills • Ability to think independently and take ownership of results • Ability to create momentum without waiting for direction • Attention to detail and documentation • Professional designations such as CPCU or CISR, or pursuit of them • Existing network of agency relationships Benefits • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with no waiting period • Paid time off from day one • 401(k) with employer match Company Overview • The Carlisle Group (TCG) is a leading international Executive Search and Recruitment firm with more than three decades of expertise in talent acquisition and leadership consulting.
