We are looking for a Senior C++/Python Software Developer to collaborate on a wide variety of projects in partnership with our clients. You will be a subject-matter expert thanks to your deep understanding of frameworks and the entire development process. You will work closely with talented engineers, developers, designers, and QA analysts, contributing to innovative web and mobile projects at Spiria. As a Senior Software Developer at Spiria, you will: <ul type="disc"> <li>Write, modify, review, optimize and debug computer code;</li> <li>Participate in testing and quality control activities as outlined in the testing strategy;</li> <li>Provide advice to the development teams;</li> <li>Collaborate in various activities related to the project in the context of Agile development such as : effort estimation, requirements analysis, prototyping, problem solving, integration and configuration of software components, etc;</li> <li>Review code and architecture to ensure that they meet the company's development standards and industry best practices;</li> <li>Provide technical leadership to the project and development team;</li> <li>Contribute to knowledge transfer by mentoring and coaching less experienced employees.</li> </ul> On your next project at Spiria you will : <ul> <li>Design and implement back‑end services supporting machine HMI, data processing, and control workflows.</li> <li>Develop C++ and Angular components that interface with embedded systems, sensors, and machine controllers and test them using Python.</li> <li>Provide robust systems, API and data pipelines consumed by Angular front‑end applications.</li> <li>Address real‑time constraints, reliability, and safety considerations typical of heavy machinery software.</li> <li>Collaborate with front‑end developers, architects, and systems engineers to ensure coherent end‑to‑end behavior.</li> <li>Support testing, debugging, and performance tuning across simulated and real machine environments.</li> <li>Full‑stack contributions are welcome where skills and project needs align.</li> </ul> The keys to your success:<ul type="disc"> <li>8+ years of professional experience in C++ development.  </li> <li>Proficiency in Python for tooling, testing, or automation workflows. </li> <li>Advanced experience in Unix/Linux environments.  </li> <li>Experience developing automation or autonomous machine software.  </li> <li>Strong understanding of software architecture and production-grade coding standards.  </li> <li>Fluent in English and/or French (spoken and written).  </li> </ul> Employment details: <div> <div> <ul> <li>Flexible work arrangements (remote, hybrid, or in-person), because what truly matters is not where you are, but what you do.</li> <li>Salary range: $95 000-120 000, based on a <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://37.5-hour/">37.5-hour</a> workweek. </li> <li>40h workweek is available. </li> </ul> </div> </div> What we offer: <div> <div> <ul> <li>Vacation bank of 3 weeks per year.</li> <li>5 additional fixed days off during the winter holidays.</li> <li>Flexible personal days to handle life’s ups and downs.</li> <li>Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) and RRSP with employer contributions.</li> <li>Group insurance with broad coverage.</li> <li>Telemedicine and Employee Assistance Program via Telus Health.</li> <li>Paid training, certification and association expenses.</li> <li>Spiri-Flex reimbursements of $300 per year for health, ergonomics, and connectivity-related expenses. </li> </ul> </div> </div> Work Environment We believe work-life balance is essential.
