We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and providing outstanding guest experiences. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
Previous restaurant or retail experience is preferred, especially within quick service or fast food settings. The Server/Cashier will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere while managing multiple responsibilities seamlessly.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Handle cash, credit, and other payment transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including dining spaces, counters, and kitchen stations, adhering to food safety standards.
Manage food handling tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and restocking supplies as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and courteously.
Support team members with basic math calculations for billing, sales totals, and inventory counts.
Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Experience
Prior experience in food service or retail environments is highly preferred; familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurants is a plus.
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable but not required; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and sanitation practices within the food industry is advantageous.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or transactions efficiently during busy periods.
Proven ability in sales techniques including upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.
Basic math skills for cash handling, restaurant math calculations, and retail transactions are essential.
