<strong>Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview)<br><br></strong>Spry Methods is seeking a Software Engineer to support a federal customer in Quantico, VA.<br><br>The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with software testing best practices and defect management processes and proven experience in delivering realistic estimates, in scope, and quality products.<br><br><strong>What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities)<br><br></strong><ul><li>Lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks. </li><li>Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts. </li><li>Coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams to identify automation needs. </li><li>Review and analyze test automation results to ensure software quality. </li><li>Mentor and train junior test engineers on automation best practices. </li><li>Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. </li><li>Monitor and improve the efficiency of test automation processes. </li><li>Perform testing activities to ensure proper tracking and completion each Sprint and overall release </li><li>Write and revise test-related management plans and formal test Procedures </li><li>Perform functional, exploratory, system, regression and performance testing. <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Requirements)<br><br></strong><ul><li>US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance. </li><li>Minimum of 8 years’ experience, or equivalent certifications demonstrating ability to perform at this level. </li><li>Proven experience in software test automation. </li><li>Leadership experience in a testing or QA role. </li><li>Srong understanding of software development lifecycles. </li><li>Experience with test automation tools and frameworks. </li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Effective communication and leadership abilities. </li><li>Excellent understanding and experience of test automation frameworks, regression, system, functional and performance testing. </li><li>Exceptional collaborative communication skills<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications)<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. </li><li>Experience with Agile Development / Scrum framework </li><li>Understanding of test-driven development and/or behavior driven development </li><li>Familiarity with Jira <br><br><br></li></ul>#CJ<br><br>We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
