Job Summary Location: Detroit, MI This role is designed to provide undergraduate college students with unique opportunities to develop their individual talents and to experience a large corporate environment.
Responsibilities
Gain a deep understanding of DTE’s operations, business model and key initiatives
Produce clear, useful, and value-added work product to support business unit with various assignments and projects
Gain real hands-on professional work experience
Acquire a new network of professional contacts
Gain a new/enhanced set of soft business skills
Have a successful summer experience and desire to come back and work for DTE
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Must be currently enrolled at an accredited 4-year university or college, or a high school graduate who is enrolled to attend college in the fall
Possesses good organizational skills, demonstrate the ability to work effectively with people at all levels and be safety conscious at all times
Ability to establish goals, set priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain confidential and effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, management, and external customers
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
Nice-to-haves
Possesses a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
