Job Description
Salary Competitive, based on experience and graduate study, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract Qualifications New York State Certification as a secondary Reading Specialist is required. Description Seeking highly qualified, motivated candidates for full-time, tenure track Reading Specialist position beginning in 2026-27. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of adolescent literacy development and interventions that will support student success in all content areas. The Reading Specialist will work in small group AIS models, and must be skilled at utilizing data to develop diagnostic intervention plans, individualized based on student need. The Reading Specialist also will co-plan with other specialists and teachers to support the integration of literacy strategies across content area classes. Experience with culturally responsive teaching practices is preferred. Effective September 1, 2026 Attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27 is required.
