Job Description
Employment Opportunity 2026 Multilingual Summer Program - Middle School Students Position 3 Teachers at McDevitt Responsibilities Must hold a MA DESE teaching license. Preference will be given to those certified in ESL. Facilitate a structured learning environment for daily instruction on MESH power standards. Description of Program This program is intended to support Middle School English Language learners who will be in middle school. The focus will be on language acquisition and academics. Students identified from both Kennedy and McDevitt may attend this program. A minimum of 20 students must be signed up for this program for it to run. Site Location: McDevitt Middle School Compensation Contractual rate of $40 per hour for up to a total of 110 hours for the summer (may be less if job sharing) for a total of up to $4400. Terms of Employment The summer program will be held from July 6th to August 6th. Program times for students will be Monday - Thursday. Work consists of 4 hours of daily teaching, 30 minutes of supervision of students, and 1 hour of prep daily for 19 days (no prep on the last day of summer school). There will be a 1 hour prep meeting with the site coordinator prior to summer school. Preparation during summer school may take place on site or from home. Job sharing is allowable to be determined by hiring managers.
