Buckeye Elementary School District Job Description JOB TITLE: Courier/Warehouse Technician REPORTS TO: Director of Purchasing & Warehouse EVALUATION: Classified Support Staff PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to facilitate courier services for multiple valley school districts. Responsibilities include the timely delivery of payroll and accounts payable warrants, treasurer deposits, and vital school business correspondence. This role requires traveling twice weekly to all participating school districts, the Maricopa County Treasurer’s Office, and the Maricopa County School Superintendent’s Office. This position also supports the warehouse to ensure the work calendar and allocated hours are completed. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Valid AZ DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Valid AZ Driver’s Licence must be maintained at all times Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent certificate (required) Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with various stakeholders Demonstrated ability to be punctual and reliable in the performance of duties Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all school business matters High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in record keeping and reporting Knowledge of and adherence to proper lifting methods and safety procedures Ability to occasionally push, pull, or lift weights in excess of fifty (50) pounds Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following knowledge, skills, abilities, duties and responsibilities, and physical requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Knowledge in procedures for management of school finance, district organization, operation, policies and procedures, State and Federal laws, statutes, rules, codes and regulations governing school finance activities and functions including the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR), computer spreadsheet and database software applications and other Microsoft Office tools, general office processes and procedures. Knowledge of using email, managing files, recording and reporting grades electronically, and using Google applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to a variety of audiences in both written and oral form. Ability to read and interpret written material in print or electronic format. Ability to work independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates a district-assigned vehicle to retrieve payroll and accounts payable warrants, as well as business correspondence, from the Maricopa County School Superintendent’s Office. Ensures the timely distribution of warrants and correspondence to all participating school districts while facilitating the collection of outgoing mail and treasurer deposits from each site. Delivers vital school business correspondence to the Maricopa County School Superintendent’s Office and executes treasurer deposits at the Maricopa County Treasurer’s Office on behalf of participating districts. Maintains proactive communication regarding operational updates, issues, or concerns with participating school districts and the Buckeye Union High School District Director of Budget & Finance. Coordinates and adjusts delivery schedules as necessary during holiday weeks or in response to alternative district calendars to ensure service continuity. Fulfill warehouse technician duties and responsibilities as may be necessary to complete hours necessary for the week or work calendar days. Assist other warehouse technician(s) and specialist(s) to maintain, keep orderly and inventoried and generally keep in good and safe condition the classroom and staff supplies in the district warehouse. Receive supplies and goods delivered to the district following district procedures and state and federal guidelines. Receive and process staff requests for supplies in a timely manner. Deliver all supplies and goods to all schools and sites. File warehouse documents.
