Job Description
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionYour craft keeps turbines spinning and aircraft readyImagine launching a complex repair order for a hydropower generator bearing in the morning and switching to a tight‑tolerance aerospace component by afternoon. That mix of purpose and precision is daily life at Pioneer Motor Bearing Company . As a fourth‑generation family business, we support the nation’s power grid and defense readiness. Our Pioneer team focuses on bearing engineering, manufacturing, and repair, while PMB Machine Works delivers components to aerospace and defense primes. We’re a service‑driven operation that prizes teamwork, clarity, and continual growth. If that sounds like you, read on. How you’ll make an impact Own 5‑axis and multi‑axis CNC setups—select tooling, set offsets, and configure right‑angle heads to produce and repair fluid film bearings, seals, and aerospace/defense parts. Transform blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal guidance into accurate parts; validate your work with micrometers, dial calipers, surface gauges, and dial indicators. Apply math and geometry to resolve fit, tolerance, and process challenges; edit code at the control and record all changes. Spot risks early—quality, delivery, customer requirements—and communicate them with solutions in mind. Continuously improve by analyzing tooling, setups, and procedures to cut run time and enhance quality. Handle heavy components safely using overhead cranes and best‑practice rigging.
