OVERVIEW As a Sales Associate, you are both a brand ambassador and a cer??fied Piercing Specialist, delivering safe, professional piercing services while crea??ng welcoming, energe??c, and trendforward experiences on the sales floor. You play a cri??cal role in driving piercing and retail sales, upholding Claire’s Clinical Piercing Standards, and represen??ng the brand with confidence, care, and precision. Through expert consultation, strong selling behaviors, and operational excellence, you help customers feel informed, confident, and excited — whether they’re receiving their first piercing or building their next curated look. RESPONSIBILITIES Piercing Excellence | Clinical Standards Deliver professional ear-piercing services in accordance with Claire’s Clinical Piercing Standards and safety protocols. Follow all sterilization, hygiene, and infection-prevention procedures with precision and consistency. Educate guests and guardians through informed consent, eligibility screening, and clear aftercare instruction. Maintain certification requirements and complete ongoing piercing skill development training. Customer Experience | Brand Ambassador Deliver engaging, friendly, and inclusive customer experiences. Build strong product knowledge to provide styling advice and recommend add-on products. Support piercing services and educate customers on aftercare with empathy and professionalism. Represent Claire’s brand values through a positive attitude and on-floor presence. Sales Performance | Results Drive piercing and retail conversion through e??ective consultation, strong product recommendations, and confident service execution. Actively participate in promotions, loyalty programs, and sales-driving initiatives. Use trend awareness to influence customer purchasing decisions. Operations | Store Support Execute POS transactions accurately and e??iciently. Maintain visual merchandising standards and organized product presentation. Support shipment processing, replenishment, and inventory accuracy. Follow all safety, loss prevention, and operational procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS You are willing to become a certified Claire’s Piercing Specialist and perform piercings in strict accordance with documented clinical, safety, and hygiene standards. You demonstrate calm, confident technique and empathy, particularly with children and first-time guests. You know how to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system e??iciently. You can stand during scheduled shifts and lift/maneuver 25 – 75lbs. You can bend, stoop, twist, perform extended reach, and climb ladders or step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting customers.
