St. Joseph School (La Puente) is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, and enthusiastic 6th Grade Homeroom Teacher to join our school community. Responsibilities Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons across multiple subject areas (Religion, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies) Develop and implement thoughtful lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners Foster a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and interactions Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback Communicate clearly and consistently with students, parents, and colleagues Collaborate as a team player with faculty, staff, and administration Maintain classroom organization, structure, and high expectations for student behavior Requirements Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) required Valid teaching Credential Preferred (we will work with you) VIRTUS trained and fingerprinted (or willing to complete upon hire) Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
