Position Overview Enfield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Academic Credit Recovery Specialist at Enfield High School. This non-union, part-time position plays a vital role in supporting students who are behind in credits required for graduation. The successful candidate will collaborate with staff, students, and families to provide academic support, monitor progress, and ensure successful completion of credit recovery programs using online platforms and in-person interventions. In addition to working in the Credit Recovery (CR) Lab, this position includes supervising the lunch detention room as assigned by administration. Schedule Hours: 10:16 AM – 2:10 PM Weekly Hours: 19.5 hours Status: Part-time, Non-Union Key Responsibilities Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to review student academic history and identify credit recovery needs Provide instructional support in subject areas where students require credit recovery Supervise and support students in the Credit Recovery Lab utilizing online learning platforms Monitor, track, and document student progress toward credit completion Motivate and encourage students to engage in their coursework and take ownership of their academic success Foster a positive, structured, and supportive environment that promotes confidence and persistence Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for improvement Collaborate with academic support staff to strengthen and align credit recovery efforts Participate in training to stay current with credit recovery platforms and best practices Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and individualized plans in alignment with school policies Supervise the lunch detention room in accordance with school expectations and procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Experience working with high school students in an academic support, intervention, or instructional role preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to motivate and build positive relationships with students Comfort with online learning platforms and educational technology Commitment to supporting diverse learners Compensation Hourly, non-union position Compensation in accordance with district guidelines Application Process Applications must be 100% complete to be considered for an interview.
