Job Description
he University of Mount Olive is seeking a motivated and organized individual to serve as the Academic Resource Center Director. As a key member of the Learning Commons team, the individual in this role will play a crucial role in codifying and administering various services and programs offered by the Academic Resource Center (ARC) for both face-to-face and online student populations. This includes overseeing initiatives for high-risk students, managing a caseload of undergraduate students on academic probation, and planning and marketing academic support programming. The ideal candidate will have experience in academic support service delivery, staff or student supervision, and will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on student retention and success at the University of Mount Olive. This campus-based position is 12 months with a schedule that involves evening and/or weekend work as required. Responsibilities include: Codifying, building out, and administering pre-determined services and programs offered by the Academic Resource Center for both the face-to-face and online student populations (Learning Accountability Program (LAP), Learning Clinics, Peer Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, Solutions in One Session, Differentiated Instruction, and Guided Collaborative Learning) Interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating part-time staff (primarily students) and faculty service within the Academic Resource Center Creating, delivering, and evaluating quality monthly academic support programming (i.e. structured student success workshops) for undergraduate and graduate students for both the seated and online modalities Managing a caseload of undergraduate students who are on academic probation through individualized academic support and Learning Accountability Plans Collaborating with Office of Academic Affairs by providing requested data/documentation as
