This position involves managing patient registration and revenue cycle tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include pre-registration processing, gathering and verifying demographic and insurance information, assembling patient packets, and coordinating patient flow within the emergency department. You will also handle patient transfers, discharges, and follow-up on necessary documentation such as Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires. Education: Candidates must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on office skills. Experience: Vocational training or on-the-job experience in computer operations and switchboard use is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare business office procedures is advantageous. Requirements: Ability to accurately process registrations without duplications, communicate effectively with nursing units for room assignments, and provide excellent patient service including offering informational brochures. This role operates primarily during overnight shifts in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.
