This position involves welcoming patients and their representatives, accurately collecting demographic and insurance details, and securing necessary consents for treatment and information release. Key Responsibilities: Greet and interview patients or their representatives with warmth and professionalism. Collect and verify accurate demographic and insurance information for medical and financial records. Obtain proper admission consent and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Verify insurance details electronically and resolve any discrepancies before finalizing registration. Inform patients of their rights in accordance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements. Respond promptly and effectively to patient inquiries, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Collect applicable copays and direct patients to appropriate treatment areas. Recognize registrations requiring pre-authorization or pre-certification and validate all necessary documentation. Maintain accurate documentation and demonstrate understanding of billing and registration requirements. Ensure compliance with Medicare Secondary Payor rules, HIPAA privacy standards, patient rights, and other regulatory mandates. Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and coworkers. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace while managing time effectively. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred candidates will have a certificate or diploma in Medical Front Office, CNA, or Medical Terminology.
