**REMOTE Account Director / Associate Account Director OUR CLIENT: Our award-winning start up client believes impactful healthcare communications happens at the intersection of scientific rigor and creative storytelling. They are a boutique healthcare marketing agency built by passionate strategists, scientists, and creatives that fuse a deep understanding of clinical data with experience in communications to drive success for their clients' brands. ROLE OVERVIEW: Our client is looking for an experienced Account Director or Associate Account Director to lead client relationships and drive strategic execution across several key promotional pharmaceutical accounts. This individual will serve as a trusted client partner, overseeing integrated marketing and strategic medical communications initiatives while collaborating closely with internal scientific, creative, and strategy teams. The ideal candidate combines strong healthcare agency experience with strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences. This role requires a proactive and engaging leader, and you’ll work together with agency leadership to deliver unique and engaging work—on time and with impact. You’ll support and mentor a confidently talented team, act as an extension of their clients’ medical/marketing teams, and help shape projects from early strategy through execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead across assigned pharmaceutical and biotech accounts Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships grounded in responsiveness, partnership, and business understanding Lead development and execution of integrated healthcare communications initiatives, including HCP promotion, disease education, digital campaigns, congress activities, and medical communications programs Drive strategic discussions with clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and scientific data Oversee project scopes, timelines, budgets, staffing, and overall account health Partner cross-functionally with scientific, creative, editorial, and digital teams to ensure high-quality deliverables Facilitate client meetings, workshops, and presentations with confidence and professionalism Provide strategic counsel and proactively identify opportunities for account growth and innovation Mentor and support junior account team members, fostering collaboration and professional development Ensure operational excellence and high standards across all client deliverables Contribute to agency culture, process improvement, and business development initiatives as needed QUALIFICATIONS: 4–7+ years of experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing agency, with a strong focus on HCP promotion and strategy Demonstrated success managing client relationships and complex integrated projects Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, HCP marketing, and/or medical communications Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in fast-paced agency environments Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality Collaborative, team-first mindset Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort in a growing agency environment Passion for healthcare storytelling and scientific communications High level of accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-moving environment PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience across launch planning, branded and unbranded campaigns, digital engagement, or medical education Scientific or advanced healthcare background is a plus Experience in oncology, rare disease, immunology, infectious disease, or neurology preferred
