Account Executive – Minnesota & W. Wisconsin JSA Design Resource Group Chicago, IL About Us: As a leading Independent Manufacturer’s Rep Group, JSA promotes Workplace, Education, Healthcare, and Hospitality products to the Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota markets. We ensure quality brand recognition for our manufacturers within the territory’s commercial contract furniture dealerships, design firms, general contractors, commercial real estate agents, and end users in targeted vertical markets. The JSA name has been synonymous for over 50 years with first in class service & sales delivery. Role Overview: The primary focus of the Account Executive role is to drive company growth and market share by maintaining existing client relationships as well as fostering new client business. The ideal candidate is a sales-motivated self-starter! Role is responsible for market coverage of furniture & architectural products. Territory coverage includes Minnesota and Western Wisconsin (Superior, Ashland, Eau Claire, River Falls, & La Crosse markets.) The role will focus on targets within furniture dealerships, healthcare and higher education systems, federal state & local government offices, facilities managers, architecture & design firms, general contractors, and real estate brokers. An ideal candidate is outgoing, responsive, and thorough in their interactions. This is a role for someone who is looking to build long-lasting relationships with a goal to grow their territory (a real need of taking ownership with their account base is necessary.) This is a commission-based comp plan, which means uncapped earning potential. Commercial real estate, facilities management, construction management, sales, or design experience is a plus (established relationships in the market even better). RESPONSIBILITIES Learning the client’s short-term and long-term needs to cultivate loyal and enduring relationships. Review short-term and long-term goals, objectives, and ideas with account organization’s leadership team. Win new business within assigned territory existing accounts by presenting new products, delivering exceptional service, and providing relevant ongoing training and support. Generate new business within various defined vertical markets and end users. Consistently and strategically broaden knowledge of our unique products through training, research, and the pursuit of diverse project opportunities to gain market share. Quickly communicate accurate and concise project scope, goals, & budget to your support team. Deliver accurate specifications, pricing, drawings, and marketing collateral to clients in a timely & organized manner. EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in business administration, architecture, design, construction management, sales, or marketing disciplines preferred. 2 years of successful sales experience with a proven winning track record of planning/execution Familiarity with contract furniture, architectural products, construction, commercial real estate, healthcare, higher education, state/local government systems ideal. SKILLS + ABILITIES Approachable, positive, & persuasive personality. An entrepreneurial, competitive spirit! Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, presentation experience a plus. Ability to analyze situations, think creatively on one’s feet, and solve problems under pressure. Personal vehicle required for the transportation of company products used for sales appointments. Ability to lift and handle heavy products for delivery or demonstrations without assistance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, G Suite, sales software tools, & social media platforms.
