Role Description As an Account Executive at Rule27 Design, you own the full client lifecycle from first contact through ongoing account management. Your primary focus is connecting with business leaders, identifying their growth and platform challenges, and matching them with the right Rule27 engagement to solve them. You set appointments, run discovery calls, close deals, and maintain client relationships to drive expansion and long-term retention. You are not designing brands or architecting platforms. You are the relationship owner. A dedicated Sales Operations Manager provides daily coaching, pipeline support, and handles escalations into our delivery teams. Rule27's services are structured as a natural progression. Clients who engage on one offering are strong candidates for the next. Your ability to identify and act on these expansion paths directly impacts your earnings. Brand Identity & Design Systems - logo, visual identity, brand guidelines, and design systems for companies investing in their next chapter Premium Websites & Web Applications - custom-designed, conversion-focused websites and web apps with managed hosting Technology Architecture & Platform Implementation - Salesforce, CRM, integration, CMS, and custom platform builds delivered by certified experts Digital Growth Systems - SEO content, funnels, lead generation, and analytics infrastructure that compounds month over month Day to Day Sales & Pipeline Work company-provided leads through outreach, follow-up, and discovery scheduling Run 3+ qualified discovery calls per week using company-provided frameworks and materials Present service offerings to business owners, marketing leaders, and decision-makers via phone and video Submit closed deals through the company CRM for management review and approval Optionally source your own leads through networking, social media, and direct outreach for enhanced commission rates Account Management & Retention Maintain ongoing relationships with your closed accounts to ensure satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities. Identify natural upsell paths: move brand clients into web, web clients into platform builds, platform clients into ongoing growth retainers. Serve as the client's primary point of contact and escalate delivery issues to the operations team as needed Retained clients generate recurring commission - your book of business compounds as you keep clients engaged. Daily Operations Participate in daily standup meetings with your Sales Operations Manager Log all activity — calls, demos, follow-ups, notes — in the company CRM Attend weekly team training sessions and 1-on-1 coaching as scheduled Maintain a professional environment for all client-facing video calls COMPENSATION This is a commission-only 1099 contractor position with a tiered structure that rewards both closing ability and long-term client retention. Commission rates increase with engagement size and complexity, and self-sourced deals earn significantly higher rates than company-provided leads. Company Leads: Tiered commission based on engagement size — rates scale as you close higher-value work Self-Sourced Leads: Enhanced commission up to 50% of gross revenue on deals you bring in yourself Recurring Revenue: Clients on monthly services (hosting, growth retainers, ongoing platform support) generate ongoing monthly commissions for as long as the account is active and in good standing Top-performing AEs who close and retain higher-tier clients earn significant recurring monthly income with fewer active deals required. Full commission rates and tier breakdowns are provided during the interview and onboarding process. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Book a minimum of 3 qualified discovery calls per week Close at minimum threshold each month (specific targets provided during onboarding) Weeks 1–2 are structured training with activity tracking — performance minimums enforced starting Week 3 Company-provided leads are earned through
