Title : Account Supervisor Reports to : Account Director Client: US Army THE ROLE Ready to lead? We're looking for a sharp, strategic Account Supervisor to join our Chicago office and own client relationships that matter. In this role, you'll be the day-to-day leader of client projects and the connective force across media, creative, strategy, and specialized event teams. You'll drive both our best work and measurable business results—while mentoring junior account staff and championing new growth opportunities. This is your first real leadership role: you own the vision, build the relationships, and make sure every project exceeds expectations. WHAT YOU’LL DO Project Leadership & Strategic Stewardship Own key client projects end-to-end, partnering with Strategy, Creative, and Media teams to deliver excellence Push for brilliant creative solutions while maintaining strategic rigor and business alignment Anticipate issues before they become crises; escalate risks confidently and propose solutions Take the lead in developing agency recommendations and POVs—both internally with cross-functional teams and to the client Partnership & Growth Serve as the primary day-to-day client and IAT (Integrated Agency Team) contact, building trust and understanding their business objectives Develop deep knowledge of your clients' category, competition, and strategic priorities and translating that into smart Media and Event sponsorships Translate client needs into clear agency recommendations (not just "order-taking") Maintain accurate, timely communication with clients on budgets, timelines, and project status Internal Integration & Influence Lead cross-functional collaboration between Business, Creative, Strategy, Media, and Event teams Facilitate seamless information flow across departments so nothing falls through the cracks Be the expert your team turns to—coordinating dependencies, resolving roadblocks, aligning priorities Champion creative and media excellence and push back thoughtfully when the work can be stronger Support and mentor junior account staff, modeling best practices and agency processes Team Leadership Manage direct reports with empathy, clarity, and high standards Ensure your team is well-informed, aligned, and invested in client success Provide feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities to develop future leaders Model the agency's values and ways of working—especially around collaboration and creative partnership Build a team culture focused on "getting the job done" and continuously improving how we work WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Experience & Competencies 3-5+ years of account/business management experience in advertising or marketing agencies Project ownership mastery : You've led complex, integrated campaigns from strategy through delivery within an IAT (Integrated Agency Team) and are comfortable managing projects that require multiple stakeholder inputs Excellent communication : You present to clients and internal leadership with clarity and confidence Client savvy : You understand what clients need (not just what they ask for) and can push back constructively Proven leadership ability : You've managed direct reports or mentored team members successfully Mindset & Behaviors Problem-solver first : You anticipate issues, propose solutions proactively, and stay calm under pressure Relationship builder : You earn trust across teams—clients, creatives, strategists, media and event partners—and collaborate naturally Strategic advocates for creativity : You balance business pragmatism with passion for great ideas Resourceful and flexible : You adapt to change, ambiguity, and shifting priorities without losing focus Team-focused leader : You genuinely invest in your team's success and growth, not just task completion Always learning : You ask good questions, seek feedback, and look for ways to improve processes and work quality WHY JOIN US?
