Job Description
OverviewJoin our team as an Accounting Clerk and become a vital contributor to our financial operations! In this energetic role, you will support essential accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across various financial processes.You'll work with a variety of accounting software and tools, helping to maintain the integrity of our financial data while gaining valuable experience in corporate and governmental accounting environments.If you thrive in fast-paced settings and have a passion for numbers, this is your chance to make an impact! Responsibilities Perform data entry and account analysis to ensure precise recording of daily financial transactions (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks).Reconcile accounts on the general ledger, including balance sheet accounts and account reconciliation tasks, to uphold accuracy.Manage accounts payable and/or receivable processes.Process invoices, manage vendor payments, ensure timely payments and collections, verify receipts.Support payroll management using systems like Quickbooks, ADP, etc.including timekeeping and payroll processing.Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities following Accounting Principles.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and report preparation.Maintain organized digital and physical financial filing systems.Run administrative errands.Other duties as required.Requirements Accounting Aptitude:Understanding of basic accounting principles (financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping).Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently and accurately.Mathematical Aptitude:Strong math skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and budget support.Software Proficiency:Proven experience with accounting software (Quickbooks a plus) and Microsoft suite.Knowledge of payroll management systems is a plus.Communication:Ability to interact diplomatically with customers, vendors, and co-workers.Adaptability:Proactive.Adjusting work to meet deadlines and needs of company.Finding solutions to new and unfamiliar issues.Detail-Oriented:Exceptional accuracy in maintaining records and identifying errors.Education:High school diploma combined with years of experience on the job.Associate or bachelor's degrees preferred but not required.License:Valid Driver's License Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills drive our financial success!
