Job Description
Position Summary The Accounting Clerk supports IHRMC's centralized accounting operations by processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records for assigned hotel properties within the portfolio.This position works closely with hotel General Managers, property-level leadership teams, and the corporate management team to ensure timely, accurate, and policy-compliant financial reporting.This is a non-supervisory, transactional role focused on execution, documentation, and financial accuracy across multiple hotel assets.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (Hotel-Level Support) Process and code vendor invoices in accordance with brand standards and IHRMC accounting policies Perform three-way matching (PO, invoice, receiving documentation) when applicable Coordinate with hotel department heads to validate expenses and approvals Prepare and process weekly check runs and ACH payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized digital records of invoices and supporting documentation Accounts Receivable & Revenue Support Post daily cash receipts and credit card settlements Assist with reconciliation of OTA receivables and direct bill accounts Support review of daily revenue reports in coordination with night audit and hotel leadership Monitor aging reports and assist properties with collection follow-up as needed General Ledger & Reconciliations Prepare routine journal entries under direction of senior accounting staff Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts Assist with month-end close procedures for assigned properties Maintain sub-ledger accuracy and ensure alignment with the general ledger Property & Corporate Collaboration Serve as a liaison between assigned hotels and the corporate accounting team Support General Managers with financial documentation and reporting requests Ensure compliance with brand standards, ownership requirements, and internal controls Assist during internal and external audits by gathering required documentation Operational Alignment within IHRMC The Accounting Clerk operates within IHRMC's centralized accounting structure, ensuring consistency across all managed properties.The role supports:Standardized financial reporting across the portfolio Compliance with brand and ownership requirements Accurate and timely month-end reporting Strengthened internal controls at the property level This position contributes to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of each hotel while reinforcing IHRMC's commitment to disciplined asset management.Pay:$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance Work Location:In person.
