Accounting Clerk

Pemberton Truck Lines is a family owned and operated company in Knoxville, TN that has been in business since 1982.We are seeking a full time, detail-oriented and motivated Entry Level Accounting Clerk to join our growing team.This position will primarily support our accounting Team with Accounts Receivable (AR) functions and support our daily tasks.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a supportive, team-orientated environment.Process/Bill customer invoices Assist with Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking for 3 companies.Follow up on overdue accounts and assist in collection efforts Match Receipts and Invoices t ensure accurate payment processing.Prepare and update spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.Assist with recordkeeping in fleet management systems and alignment with company asset record.Support month-end closing activities.Support by providing required documentation and account details when we purchase equipment, registration filings, tag renewals or transfers, etc.Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.Collaborate with team members or streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.Perform general administrative and accounting support tasks as needed.0-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.Basic understanding of accounting principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Strong attention to detail and organization skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent Communication Skills.Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $18.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
